ah. and its friday once again.
and so, another week has passed. a week closer to more deadlines. and the juneholidays! cant wait for cellsummit in malaysia. three days of seclusion, of spending time with God and friends.
today was a fine day. just like any other, because God made it that way, and we should rejoice and give thanks. feeding fish is surprisingly quite therapeutic. we pour the little spheres of fish food on the surface of the pond and see the little ones swimming speedily to where the food is. it doesnt take long for the rest to realise that there is food available and soon the whole school (no pun intended) of fish comes near the edge of the pond where we were.
you can spot goneril right there, in the above picture. haha. its our adopted koi. its the shiniest one, in gold. waha. and you can see catfish too. fabian's grown really huge. at least the rubber band is off its head. just sitting there watching them eat the fish food *blurp blurp blurp blurp* (yes thats the noise they make) is pretty entertaining and gives a sense of calmness and serenity, for some reason. or perhaps it was just me. but anyway, because their vision is limited and cant actually see exactly when they eat they would just anyhow whack, like blurping everywhere on the surface, which is quite amusing. imagine humans biting the air in hopes of getting a few grains of rice in our mouths. thats the feeling i get watching them eat. haha. they even let you touch them with a finger, and wont swim away in a hurry. must be the food (:
after that keithjustindanielian and i went to IKEA! to have lunch. we had swedish meatballs, and the special for the day, which was fish and chips with chive sauce. the meatballs were good as usual, and the fish and chips werent bad either, just that the sauce tasted a little funny. but edible, yes. we spent some time shopping around. ian got his fish tank/glass container to keep fighting fish, and after walking for a while we ended up at the deli place downstairs eating hotdogs and icecream. oh and there was the case of daniel's missing files. which was pretty weird. they were found, thankfully.
and so ended the day out. waited really long for bus 14 to come, and hopped on and met oli. haha. coincidentally coming from school. reached home, and spent the next few hours watching heroes. a real waste of time considering the work ive got to do, but then, its really quite a fantastic series. finished episode 11 today. but im still seriously lagging haha. had a nice dinner, went to the arcade to drive a racecar for a while, at this point i would like to say that i can actually drift properly with the car around tight bends, which is really fun to do. although i played a few rounds but still didnt make it past 12th out of 20 cars. takes more skill than what i have now i guess haha. but that day will come. its all about coordination - the jerking of the steering wheel and the gear shiftings. which is really fun to handle. yeahh.
maybe i'll run tomorrow morning.

ah. its been a long while since i last posted.too much guitar in my head these days. martintaylor and andymckee musics ring in my head.
time to get back on track with work, especially with three tests coming up next week. can't imagine getting done with IB. what a relief it will be.
just want to take some time to think about the future. haha. talk about my dream job.
travel round the world, making music. making music for God. through an instrument i can play. playing songs of praise and worship. preferably a bassist. yay.
imagine.
london, europe, the united states. asia, australia. around the world. giving concerts, blessing others through music, through the music that we play, giving all glory to God. how awesome will that be. having fun in what we do, bringing people into an encounter with God. doing what we do best, on our instruments, with our voices, singing praise unto Him. writing songs that will bless people's hearts and remind them of God's love, to be an encouragement to people in need, in prayer and in kind. striving for excellence, for the glory of God. to have our talents fully utilised, maximised in our ministry. to reach out, to tell the world as one song says. 'Tell the world that Jesus lives!' to be a blessing to all. to be able to grow and bond as a team, as a family, a body of Christ. experiencing a eclectic mix of cultures and seeing the world in all its diversity. to love and to be loved. to bring joy to others through the things that we can do as we practise, and make our music the best that it can be, to God. that is the dream.
haha. or just to play music in our local church, to serve Him with our whole heart, giving glory to Him. and to be near dear friends and family. won't be homesick away from home then. ah. give thanks for friends, for they are truly blessings from God above.
back to reality.

i miss kunming. its been a year.i think i remember blogging about it after i came back, but.
a walk down memory lane.
the stars. i miss the stars the most. it was pitch dark, and the sky is moon+starlit. it was quite awesome. the toilets? haha. poon and i were just reminiscing. there was the toilet near our sleeping room and there was a 'real man' toilet. just cant imagine it again haha. okay. recall the nicer things. the mountains. should have climbed more with carl. the mountains were beautiful. when you get to the top, you could see everything. sky, clouds, greenery, hills, fields, houses. and there was also the ultimate arctic experience. haha. the movie and cartoon screenings for the village kids. tom and jerry! the shovelling of soil, and planting of trees. the painting of the murals. alot of rice every lunch and dinner but we didn't put on weight. output was > than input. haha. stone forest, and stone forest hospital. singing to the kids. village jamming with two guitars. the kids. he li jun! soonkai's picture-perfect shot. the ice cream. village cow potato chips. the fellowship, the friendships. only the wonderful memories.
return to reality - study for econs.
